So Saturday night Brian (of Wavefest) and I were invited to venture down to San Diego for Tiki Oasis 8- Voodoo Vacation on Zombie Island. What is Tiki Oasis you ask- I'm still not sure. I was never good with words- so here are some pics.

I saw a lot of drunk dudes wearing fezzes while hot burlesque girls shook their hips, but to really help us understand Tiki Oasis here are the facts- Fact #1 Tiki Oasis is created and orchestrated by the Bay Area's own Baby Doe of the Go Go dance troupe The Devil-Ettes, and Otto of Tiki News. Fact #2 Tiki Oasis is the longest running Tiki event/party ever! Fact #3 You will drink lots and lots of Mai Tais!

So Otto had invited Brian and I down to check out the scene, because he would like us to show surfing films at next year's Oasis. So Brian (Mad Max) drove us straight there from SF after work & got us there at 4 in the morning- and it was on, drinking while perving- I mean enjoying vintage style Burlesque dancing and rocking out to the hot rod sounds of The Mission Creeps, The Creepy Creeps, and The Ghastly Ones.
